Concord Adult Day Enrichment Services

Concord Adult Day Enrichment Services (CADES) is a licensed adult day center dedicated to providing a safe, structured, and caring environment for senior adults whose needs prevent them from staying at home alone. CADES has been serving seniors and their caregivers for 20 years in Knox and surrounding counties with ongoing care, support, education and respite. We are committed to showing dignity and respect while enhancing the quality of life of seniors through socialization, activities, and opportunities to maintain their level of functioning.

Admission Criteria

-Ambulatory or semi-ambulatory

-Independent of basic self-care

-Able to adapt to group setting

-Not able to stay home alone

Admission Process

Self-referral, physician referral, or community referral. Scheduled assessment interview with participant and caregiver. Medical examination report required upon enrollment.

Services Provided

Structured programming including exercise, active and passive games, discussion groups, reminiscent therapy, current events, music therapy, pet visits, arts and crafts, intergenerational contact, gardening, travelogues, guest speakers, educational programs, and nutritional support.

Interns:

Field training site for various area student interns in the fields of nursing, social work and occupational therapy.

Participants attend scheduled days and hours after enrollment.
