You are invited to celebrate Easter Sunday Morning by transforming the cross on our front lawn into a stunning symbol of hope and resurrection. Bring fresh flowers from home or use the ones provided to help decorate the cross.
This simple yet powerful tradition is a beautiful way to honor and celebrate the risen Christ. Come early, bring your blooms, and be part of this meaningful Easter moment!
WEDNESDAY NIGHTS
Community Care Night
Community Care Night on Wednesday evenings is a time we gather across generations in community to connect with God and others, through a meal, worship, and groups. Lent is a great time to connect through Community Care Night.
We provide a free meal from 5:30-6:20pm weekly on Wednesday evenings. There is no better place to connect with others than at the dinner table.
We worship from 6:30-7:00pm on Wednesday evenings. We are “Praying Through Lent” as our worship focus.
February 25 – Prayer Service with Song, Scripture, and Prayer
March 4 – Praying Through Surrender
March 11 – Praying Through Lament
March 18 – Praying Through Forgiveness
March 25 – Prayer Service with Song, Scripture, and Prayer
Crescendo for kids takes place from 6:30-7:00pm weekly in rooms 145/147.
Students gather at 6:30 for fellowship, games, worship, and small groups.
SERMON SERIES
We have all been told not to talk about religion in public. And we’ve all known people who constantly talked about religion in a way that was judgmental and off-
putting. So, it seems like pretty good advice. But would it be Jesus’ advice to us? Jesus is always talking about religion in public, but he also directs his followers to do the same. Usually, the people Jesus speaks to find the conversation helpful and transformational, not judgmental and aggressive. In this series, we will be learning from Jesus’ conversations about God with people who were not his followers, how we, too, can share the Good News of God’s love and mercy in ways that are gracious, respectful, and life-changing.
Bible Study Resources and Groups
On a Sunday morning, you can expect to be welcomed warmly by our staff and volunteers. We engage in dynamic worship to honor Jesus and then open up the bible to be taught strongly from the Word. We encourage you to come with a heart of expectancy that God will move mightily in your life!
As long you come through our doors, we want to ensure you feel loved and welcomed. If you ever need anything, always feel free to connect with us. We love to hear from our new visitors. Email us at nextsteps@concordunited.org

Fasting Info
As we journey from Ash Wednesday to the cross and the empty tomb, we encourage fasting. Just as Welsey instilled in the first Methodists, we invite you to fast on Fridays, February 20, 27, March 6, 13, 20, 27 and April 3 It is a Christian tradition to fast on Friday as it represents the day Jesus was crucified and sacrificed for us.
We recommend one of the three options for fasting weekly during Lent:
Fridays from 9am-3pm (The hours of the crucifixion.)
Fridays until 3pm
Fridays until Sundown
As mentioned, fasting means abstaining. Abstaining from food is one method of fasting. We can also fast from other items, such as screens and social media.

Stations of the Cross

Stations of the Cross is an interactive, one-hour journey using prayer to guide us through the last hours of Jesus’ life. The four stations utilize scripture, music, and prayer. Groups begin every 15 minutes, starting at 6:00pm until 7:00. We encourage sign-ups for a start time. Walk-ins are welcome, though wait times for walk-ins may vary. Appropriate for kids 10 and up.

Maundy Thursday
April 2 | 7:00-8:00PM - Worship Center
Join us on Thursday, April 2 for a very special Holy Week service of Maundy Thursday. This will be a service that remembers and reflects upon Jesus’ last supper with his disciples before his death. The story will be retold through music, scripture, and the observance of Holy Communion. The service will be at 7:00 p.m. in the Worship Center.
Services can be streamed on the webpage
or on YouTube/ConcordUnited
Good Friday
April 3 | 7:00 -8:00PM - Sanctuary
Good Friday is a service of worship that offers both scripture and meditation, reflecting on Jesus’s last hours on earth. The format of this service of Tenebrae, or “Darkness,” is based on a twelfth-century late night/early morning service and is an extended meditation on the passion of Christ.
Good Friday is not meant to leave you feeling happy. It was a very heavy time. It is hard to imagine what Jesus must have gone through, but he knew what was coming. The celebration of Easter and the resurrection are the most joyous after you have experienced Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.
Services can be streamed from the webpage
or on YouTube/ConcordUnited
Holy Saturday
April 4 | 10:00 AM - Sanctuary
Holy Saturday is referred to as the “great silence”, the time between Jesus’s crucifixion and resurrection. On Saturday, April 4, we gather to pray over the worship spaces as a community of faith, in the midst of the silence of Holy Saturday. Join us in the Sanctuary at 10:00am, on April 4.
