BIBLE STUDIES

We believe God meets us right where we are and gently draws us closer. If you’re curious about faith or simply ready to explore the Bible in a welcoming setting, we invite you to join one of our Bible studies. These 6-8 week studies create space to learn, ask questions, and discover more about who our God is and how much He loves each and every one of us.

Practicing the Leap of Faith – The Book of James

What if faith is not simply a leap we take when we first believe, but a practice of "leaping" on a regular basis, as we put our faith into practice? Practicing faith is not about earning salvation.  We are saved from sin by grace through faith, not through works. Practicing our faith is living out the teachings of Jesus, daily. The book of James emphasizes faith accompanied by action, including taming our tongues, being in community, and praying on all occasions. Through these regular leaps of faith, we become practicing followers of Jesus.

One True God: What Christians Believe and Why

Christian beliefs are the story the One True God’s self-revealing love. Rather than mere speculative abstract beliefs, they disclose the nature and character of the God who created out of nothing, dwelled among us in person of Jesus Christ, and is present with us through the Holy Spirit. Our understanding of the purpose of life, morality, and spirituality come from these basic beliefs about God’s work in history and our lives.

After God’s Own Heart: David and the Search for Significance

King David grew up as the youngest child in a culture that valued older children. Yet, at every step along with the way he defied expectations. He found his significance in seeking after God’s own heart and living for an audience of One. When he searched for his significance apart from God, his life began to fall apart, yet in his times of failure his love for God provided a trustworthy compass to guide him home. Like David, we all at times stray from God’s path for us, but if our hearts are seeking God’s own heart we will be able to find our way back home.
