Children's Ministries
WELCOME
We are so happy to meet you!
We are excited about what God is doing in the lives of children here at Concord United! Open for infants to 5th grade, we believe that children are important members of the family of God and want to encourage them to know, love, and serve Jesus with all their hearts. Children’s Ministry provides a variety of options for your child to get involved with others as they enter the early years of their own spiritual journey. We look forward to partnering with you on this journey as we share Christ, serve others, and grow in faith.

Concord Kids Connecting
NURSERY
Our age-appropriate curriculum engages the children through stories, crafts, music, and games. Children may attend at 9am, 10am, and 11am hours.
ELEMENTARY SUNDAY SMALL GROUPS
Grades K-5th meet at 10am in Rm 117 “Crossroads” to pray together, celebrate birthdays, and to learn the Bible truth for the day. At 10:10, the children break into small groups by grades to learn biblical principles, participate in mini-mission projects, and connect with peers.
TWEENAGERS
This ministry for children in 4th and 5th grades typically meets once a month on a Sunday afternoon or evening to participate in a combination of mission and fellowship activities. This is a great opportunity for older elementary aged children to start experiencing a pre-youth group setting.
KIDS WORSHIP!
K-5th, 11am in the gym. Children come together for a kid friendly worship experience including games, lessons, prayers, and activities designed just for them.

Your Child's Safety is our Priority
Your family’s safety and health are very important to us. We’re are excited to meet you. Please see our New Here page for an overview of what to expect when you visit.
We recommend that you park on the west side of the church building, next to the playground. This entrance is covered and leads directly into the nursery area.
When you enter the Children’s Ministry area, you will find a digital check-in desk and friendly church volunteers and staff who will explain our nametag verification system and help you get registered. Our children’s areas are also monitored by trained security personnel.
For our babies and 1’s, generally transitions are based upon developed motor skills (crawling or walking). Children age 2 to PreK, room transitions will happen based on age as of August 15 of current school year. Kindergarten to 5th grade will stay within grade level, transitioning up when a new school year begins.
We welcome families with children who require special care, and we understand that the transition period for your child will be unique. Before your first visit, it is important for us to get to know you and your child so that we can provide the best experience for you. Please contact Victoria Shackelford, Children’s Ministry Director, for more information.
